My name is Ken Durham, one of the pastors at First Baptist Church in New Castle, IN. I am setting up this page as a way to help my son, Kaleb Durham, and his wife Claire to be able to cover their medical and financial needs while he is recovering from a recent liver cancer surgery. In February of this year, he had a mango sized mass removed from his liver and his gall bladder removed. After sending off part of the tumor that they originally thought was benign to Mayo Clinic, he was encouraged to go see an oncologist in Tampa, where they currently live. It was then that they informed him of the stage 2 cancer in his liver and that he would need to have surgery on September 18th to remove a third of his liver and check surrounding organs and lymph nodes for cancer. He was in the hospital for 5 days and is now at home recouping. He is currently off work, awaiting for the staples to be removed, but will not be able to return to work until late November.
Like most every other couple, they depend on both paychecks to meet their monthly needs, and now they have the additional expenses of paying for this surgery PLUS they are still paying for his surgery in February.
We know that God will provide, and many times He does that through people like you and me. Any amount that you could help them with would be greatly appreciated.
