Many of us know and love our friend Kalara. My name is Ellana and I’m a long time friend of Kalara hosting this GoFund Me to try and help make a difference.

Please Help Save Her Life.

Kalara Vusoniwailala is a woman of incredible strength, faith, and resilience. She has dedicated her life to uplifting others, but now she faces a battle that she cannot fight alone.

In 2020, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and bravely underwent a double mastectomy. Just as she was rebuilding her life, she received another devastating diagnosis—rectal cancer. Now, she urgently needs to travel to India for less invasive robotic surgery and chemotherapy that could save her life. Time is running out.

Determined to fund her own treatment, Kalara put her house up for sale, but the sale of the house falls short of her medical expenses. Without health insurance to cover the costs, she is left with no choice but to reach out for help.

Thanks to the kindness of family, friends, and her wider community, over $30,000 FJD has already been raised. She is deeply grateful for this generosity, but she still needs AUD $40,000 (approximately $50,000 FJD) to reach her goal and secure the life-saving treatment she desperately needs. Kalara has always been someone who gives—to her family, her friends, and her community.

Today, she is asking for help, not just to fight this disease, but to continue the work she has always been called to do: making a difference in the lives of others.
