Earlier this week Kaizen O’Berry, the 22 year old son of Melissa Hall, unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest while at work. Kaizen was resuscitated twice before making it to the hospital where they discovered he has a serious heart condition. He is looking at several surgeries, including heart surgery. He is on the road to recovery, but it is a long road.

Kaizen is a kind, caring, and quiet young man who was studying to become a pilot at Florida State College's aviation program. Kaizen graduated from Buffalo School 81 and then Kenmore West High School. Kaizen is a loving son, older brother, and friend. He is a strong young man and has a strong family - but we want to do all we can to remove any stress for the family during this tumultuous time.

Anyone who knows Melissa knows that she is one of the most loving, charismatic, and genuine people in our city. She has dedicated her career and life to the City of Good Neighbors. Melissa has come to call Buffalo home, and through her work at Leadership Buffalo has spread love and positivity to so many people in our community.
