My grandson is in the hospital.

My daughter Kaitlyn got up this morning to give him a bottle, and when she picked him up, he stopped breathing. She called 911 and had to perform CPR on her 11-month-old for about 5 minutes. He was rushed to the children’s hospital where she found out he is severely anemic and needed an immediate blood transfusion.

He was also placed on a heart monitor for abnormal rhythms. He received a second transfusion, and it looks like more are to come, as his iron levels are not increasing, and they don’t know why. His hospital stay is uncertain at this point.

Any help would be appreciated as she also has two other kiddos she needs to tend to. Help with gas and food would be appreciated. Her meals are not covered at the hospital, as insurance only covers the admitted patient. They have a long road ahead and will likely be spending the holidays in the hospital.
