Hi, I’m Kaitlyn — a passionate artist, performer, and first-time homeowner who’s trying to navigate an unexpected (and very sweaty) challenge.

This summer, my central AC gave out during one of the hottest weeks of the year in Florida. I’ve done everything I can to stay grounded, resourceful, and positive… but after exploring every financing option, I was told I don’t qualify for assistance due to just purchasing my home.

So now, I’m asking for help — not out of defeat, but out of trust.

Trust that the community I’ve poured into will show up for me the way I’ve tried to show up for others.

Trust that I can ask for support without shame.

Trust that we don’t always have to struggle alone.

I’m currently living and working in a home that regularly climbs into the 90s inside. Even with fans and portable units, it’s not sustainable — and it’s starting to take a toll on my health, creativity, and spirit. This GoFundMe is here to raise the funds for a safe, functioning AC unit that will restore a basic level of comfort and stability to my home.

There is little left for savings as a solo homeowner, but I am chipping away. However, I don’t have 2-3 years to spare.
