My name is Kaitlynn Baker. I made this for my mother, brother, and grandfather, whose home was just struck by a tree and split in half. We were standing in the kitchen when we heard and felt loud rumbling, and then the tree crashed into the house. My brother was hit in the head and left with a scratch on his nose. My mom, baby, and I got out of the way just in time before everything came crashing in on us. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but they lost nearly everything. My grandfather is 80 years old and requires oxygen. They have nothing to recover from this or start over. We are not the first family in this trailer park to be struck by this tragedy, leaving our homes absolutely destroyed. My grandmother put everything she had into this place. My grandfather can't work, my brother cares for my grandfather, and my mother works when she can after trying to recover from cancer. They have a dog who they love dearly with nowhere to go. If anyone has it in their heart, I know life's hard and everyone has their own financial struggles, situations, and obligations, but if you are able in any way to help my family, it would be so greatly appreciated. They have nowhere to go, no options, and are totally at a complete loss right now. Our family needs help restoring their home and help to get a good lawyer to get justice for the great loss they have suffered due to the park owner's lack of interest in the dangers of the old, dying, falling trees. Many residents have expressed concerns about how many unsafe trees surround their homes and have fallen. A few residents have also had their homes smashed in by trees after having concerns regarding the trees being too old and at risk of falling, ignored. The park owner and manager show no interest, accountability, or responsibility for their residents' ignored concerns or losses. My family has suffered a terrible loss with nowhere to turn. Please find it in your heart to help them pick up the pieces and put their lives back together. Thank you for reading
