Dear friends and family,

Hello, my name is Kaitlyn Kuiper and I recently applied for and got accepted into a trip called the Footsteps of Paul through my school, Santa Fe Christian! This summer, we will be going to Greece, Turkey, and Rome. Some of the trip highlights include going to the island of Patmos (where John wrote Revelation), getting a tour of the catacombs, seeing the Colosseum, going on a sunset bike ride, helping out at a refugee camp, and much more. We will be walking in some of the same places that the apostle, Paul (author of almost half of the New Testament), walked when he wrote his various letters to the churches. I am excited to see these places and have those books come to life! I know the trip will be super fun and educational, however, we still have $4,000 to raise. It will be led by 4 Bible teachers so I will definitely learn so much more about the Bible and the culture during those times, which I can’t wait for! I, as a person, am very interested in the Bible and the context of the time periods it was written during, so this trip will be awesome! As soon as I heard about this trip, I KNEW I wanted to go! I even turned in my application and video before it was announced that Freshmen could apply (just in case…) I, also, plan to go to Bible college after high school or college (not sure yet). Some of the things that I am doing to prepare are, duolingo for Greek, as well as reading through all the letters of Paul with my mom. Nearly every day, we read a chapter of one of his letters and discuss it. I would appreciate any help you could give us whether through money or prayers for us to have a great time, learn a bunch, be in the moment, and, most importantly, grow closer to God. Absolutely NO PRESSURE and truly, prayer support is just as coveted as financial help. Unfortunately, you can’t get a tax write off for any donation that you may make, so keep that in mind as well.:)
