Help Kaitlyn Grow as an Outdoor Educator
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Kaitlyn Newett — a passionate educator, nature lover, and proud Forest School Program Coordinator and Lead Teacher with Ventura Wild, the education branch of Ventura Land Trust. For the past three years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of guiding young children through immersive outdoor learning experiences with VW, and I bring over a decade of experience in early childhood education — from traditional classrooms, forest school programs, to homeschooling my own kids with a Waldorf-inspired, nature-based approach.
Blending early childhood education with nature immersion is not just my job — it’s my passion. That’s why I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to attend this summer's Teacher Training with the Academy of Forest Kindergarten Teachers — a program I’ve dreamed of joining for years. This comprehensive, hands-on training is designed to help educators like me deepen our skills in child development, nature connection, and holistic teaching practices.
But I need your help to get there.
By donating to this fundraiser, you’ll be directly supporting my continued growth as a forest school educator, and by extension, the children and families I serve every day. Your generosity will help cover tuition costs for this incredible training and bring even more depth, magic, and connection to the work I do with Ventura Wild and beyond.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in this mission — and in me.
With gratitude,
Kaitlyn
