Help Kaitlin recover from a serious car accident✨

Hi my name is Laura! I have known Kaitlin for going on eight years now. If you’ve had the gift to spend time around Kait, you know what joy, kindness, silliness, and insight she brings to others. Kaitlin has had incredible opportunity to learn and grow as an employee in a fine jewelry store here in St. Pete, named Rock Shop. She has been working in sales, as a design consultant, in this family store for about two years now and she is very gifted and loves it. Unfortunately, this past Friday, March 11th, Kaitlin was in a very scary and serious car accident. She had just moved into her new apartment and when leaving her neighborhood she was T-boned by a Utility vehicle going very, very fast (see photos). At impact Kaitlin lost consciousness and was trapped in her car with a head injury. Thanks to the help of St. Pete’s emergency professionals Kaitlin was removed from her sedan using the “jaws of life”. Kaitlin was then transported to the hospital for her injuries.

Her condition warranted stitching her eye lid back together with a large amount of swelling in her left eye. As I’m writing this on Tuesday, Kaitlin’s eye is still swollen shut, but she does not have any visual impairment. On top of the eye injuries she also has multiple bruises and many, MANY aches and pains. As her friend and non-blood family, I ache with Kaitlin watching her go through these physical, emotional, and financial struggles. I praise God and everyone else involved for the protection in this event. This is going to be quite the recovery process in all ways. Unfortunately, Kaitlin will have to be out of work for an unknown amount of time and her hospital bills are starting to roll in, as well as finding a replacement vehicle. If you are able to send words of encouragement, a meal, time helping Kaitlin around the house, assisting with taking walks, or any financial donations- any type of support would be so greatly appreciated.
