Anyone who has met Kaira undoubtedly knows how incredibly caring, kind, and warm she is. She’s a trusted friend and coworker who is passionate about dogs and constantly goes above and beyond for others - often without even needing to be asked. Many, however, might not know about her prolonged struggle with Adenomyosis and the excruciatingly-painful side effects that accompany it.

Kaira has been privately battling Adenomyosis for many years. It has recently regressed to a point where most daily tasks have become unbearable due to extreme discomfort. Simple things like sitting upright in a car or lying in bed on her side for an extended period are practically intolerable. Since early 2020, Kaira has been in and out of countless clinics, trying to find an answer to chronic pain. Even after getting second and third opinions, the only solutions offered were short-term relief. There were no diagnoses that accounted for where the pain was originating or why it was persisting. As a result, she was forced to turn to endless steroid injections and physical therapy sessions. Both of which provided little to no respite from her anguish.

Finally, after exhausting most local options available, Kaira was able to find the help she needed from the women’s health experts at Pacific Endometriosis and Pelvic Surgery in Gig Harbor, WA. After multiple visits and much deliberating, it was decided that a Laparoscopic Hysterectomy and Ovarian Drilling was Kaira’s best course of action for returning to a life of normalcy. Your donation would go directly towards paying the fee for St. Anthony Hospital and the fee for Dr. Cindy Mosbrucker, who will be performing the surgery.

Kaira’s will and determination to push forward in her medical journey have been a source of inspiration to all who have witnessed it. Kaira has been financing almost all of her medical expenses to this point. Several rounds of doctor’s appointments, x-rays, scans, prescriptions, and physical therapy - a majority of these expenses being paid out of pocket. All while working full-time and privately bearing the pain and frustrations of each medical setback. Unfortunately, this final medical bill exceeds her current financial reach, and help is necessary.
