Help Kainoa Attend the National Student Leadership Conference!

Hello, family, friends, and kind-hearted supporters!

We are beyond excited to share that our son, Kainoa, a 16-year-old 10th grader at Kalaheo High School, has been invited to represent his school at the 2025 National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC)! This is an incredible honor, as not many students receive this opportunity.

Kainoa has chosen to attend the 9-day Engineering program at UC Berkeley, which runs from June 25th – July 3rd, 2025. This program will give him hands-on experience, mentorship from industry leaders, and a real taste of college life before he officially begins his journey after high school. Engineering has been his passion for years, and this experience will solidify his path while helping him build lifelong connections, confidence, and skills for success.

The total program tuition is $4,195, not including travel and expenses. The balance must be paid in full by May 25, 2025, which is just 30 days before the program starts. Living in Oahu, Hawaii, we also have to cover flights, accommodations, and his essentials while away.

This is where our ohana and community come in! We are seeking to raise at least $3,800 to cover all costs.

Meet Kainoa

Kainoa is the oldest of five children, a military dependent, and a young man with a heart of gold. He is:

✅ A dedicated honors student, excelling in all his core classes

✅ A multi-sport student-athlete, competing in football & basketball

✅ Family-oriented and a role model for his younger siblings

✅ A believer in faith and kindness with a great sense of humor

✅ An aspiring engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and build his future

✅ A foodie who loves to cook—and eat even more!

This opportunity will not only shape his future but also inspire his younger siblings to dream big and chase opportunities beyond their comfort zones.
