Help Me Become a Certified Montessori Educator Supporting a Passionate Early Childhood Educator & Mother on Her Journey

My name is Kailen, and I’m a 30-year-old mother of two amazing kids (ages 6 and 8) and a passionate early childhood educator with over a decade of experience. I’ve dedicated my life to nurturing young children, and now I have an incredible opportunity to deepen my skills and knowledge through the AMI Montessori training in Portland, Oregon. Starting in July, I am attending an intensive 2-year training, that covers the internationally recognized AMI certification—one of the most respected Montessori trainings in the world. I’m beyond excited to begin this journey, not only for myself, but for the children and families I serve every day. While this opportunity is a dream come true, it does come with a financial challenge. As a working mother supporting a young family, covering the full cost of tuition, housing, and materials is a stretch. I’m responsible for a portion of the training costs and the expense of staying in Portland for five weeks. That’s why I’m reaching out for support from my community. I’m hoping to raise $3,000, which will go directly toward:

My portion of the AMI training tuition.

My portion of housing cost during the program.

Necessary materials for coursework and study.

Also travel expenses while there.

Early childhood education has been my calling since I was 15. Even now, over a decade later, I feel the same joy walking into a classroom as I did then—like a child opening a gift. I’ve never stopped learning or striving to improve. I’ve found a home at Northern Blooms Montessori and am committed to growing into the best educator I can be—for the children, their families, and my peers who inspire me daily. My personal teaching philosophy centers on respecting each child's unique development, nurturing their natural curiosity, and modeling empathy and kindness they can carry into adulthood. This training will allow me to bring those ideals to life at the highest level.
