Kaileigh is a healthy 27-year-old mother to a beautiful 10-year-old girl. She is a Registered Behavior Technician at an ABA treatment facility, where she dedicates her time to improving the lives of children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is an active young woman who enjoys playing softball, being outdoors, and spending time with those she loves. Kaileigh has a contagious laugh, she is selfless and always lifts the spirits of those around her. She is very independent; she just bought a house and does a beautiful job raising her daughter.
On September 20, 2021, Kaileigh was supposed to start her work week, coming back from a beautiful Hocking Hills trip, with her boyfriend Keith.
Kaileigh is unsure why it did not happen, or why it not occur before, but after being at work for an hour, Kaileigh had a grand mal seizure. She lost consciousness and woke up at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
After MRIs & CTs it was determined she had a brain tumor the size of an orange. Kaileigh was already scheduled for a surgery on October 8th, for a tumor that was found in her shoulder, which is now on hold.On October 19th, she is scheduled for brain surgery in Pittsburgh.
We are asking Kaileigh's family, friends, colleagues, and softball community to share her story to help lessen the financial burden that Kaileigh and her family will endure during her healing process.
