Hello Everyone,

My name is Kaija, and I am a 29-year-old single mother to a beautiful 9-year-old daughter. On June 1, 2024, my life changed drastically when I was involved in a car accident while at work. My vehicle immediately caught fire with me trapped inside. What felt like an eternity only lasted a few minutes—but by the grace and mercy of God, I was able to get out until help arrived.

Since then, I have been on a long road of recovery, both physically and mentally. While I do receive workers’ comp, it is not nearly what I was bringing home before the accident. Unfortunately, life’s expenses—like my car note, insurance, phone bill, my daughter’s school tuition/extracurricular expenses and everyday needs—don’t stop even in the face of tragedy.

It has been very humbling for me to ask for help, as I’ve always been someone who found a way to figure things out. But this past year has been an ongoing struggle. Still, I continue to move forward and give God praise in the midst of it all.
