Update 4: We were denied the loan, and for the moment we've had to split up. Jesse has found a room for rent, and Nova and I [Kai] have ended up in a new hotel room. Any and all help is still massively needed and appreciated. I'm still on the job hunt, unfortunately, but I'm trying.

Update 3: We are BEYOND thankful for the generosity that's been pouring in. We're still waiting on the loan people, and I [Kai] am still trying to find a job, so it's been...rough. Thank you to everyone who has helped so far!

Update 2: We didn't get the apartment, and this city has become too expensive for us to live. We are biting the bullet, and all funds that aren't going into keeping a roof over our heads short-term are going into helping us move somewhere MUCH cheaper.

Update: We are so close to finding housing, but we've lost our eviction case. At this point, all funds would go to either moving and/or getting a hotel or short-term rental until we can get into something long-term.

Hi there! We're Kai, Nova, and Jesse, and we're currently in a bind. Where we're living currently is not something we'll be able to keep up with rent-wise anymore, since only one of us can work, one has disability, and the third is in the process of applying for it. We've gotten rental assistance for a couple of months, but we aren't sure how long it will take us to find more affordable housing.

We're looking to raise about 3 months worth of rent and bills, so we're situated while we look for a new home in this crazy economy.
