Hello, my name is Kah'Lil Jabre Hicks-Jumper. I recently Graduated from Howard University’s Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts with High Honors Magna Cum Laude. I received my BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Acting. I am excited to share that I have been accepted to attend British American Drama Academy (BADA) Midsummer in Oxford Program in Oxford England this summer. However, I need your help to make this dream a reality.
Throughout my journey at Howard University, I’ve had the privilege of performing in multiple stage productions, including Seven Guitars by August Wilson, in which I played Canewell, and Word Becomes Flesh by Marc Bamuthi Joseph. I was honored to receive the Owen Dodson Award for Best Ensemble. I also performed in Peerless by Jiehae Park and served as lead for Withered through the Disney Storytellers program. Additionally, over the past two summers, I traveled to Los Angeles to study at the Stella Adler Art of Acting Conservatory, further developing my craft and deepening my passion for storytelling.
The MIDSUMMER IN OXFORD PROGRAM is a 22-hour-per-week intensive over 6 weeks that highlights the first semester of Megalodon Oxford Professional Acting program, with classes in Acting Technique, Voice & Speech, Scene Study, Movement for Actors, Shakespeare, Improvisation, and Clown. This is an amazing opportunity for me to grow as an actor and as a human being, and I'm eager to make the most of it.
The program runs from July 12 to August 10, 2025, and I am seeking your support to help cover tuition, housing, travel, and associated expenses.
Any amount you’re able to give means more than you know. Your support isn’t just financial it’s a powerful reminder that there are people who believe in me, my story, and the work I’ve dedicated myself to. As I prepare to head to Oxford, this opportunity feels like the culmination of everything I’ve worked toward. Having the support of those who’ve stood by me would make this experience an unforgettable gift as I take this next bold step in my journey.
