Help Me Rebuild My AC Kit & Get Back to Work

Hey everyone — my name is Kahdeem Prosper Jefferson. I’m a PA turned 1st AC based in NYC. I’ve been building my career brick-by-brick through hard work, community, and a real love for visual storytelling and collaboration.

Recently, while prepping for a shoot, my entire 1st AC kit was stolen. This gear wasn’t just equipment — it was how I support myself, how I show up on set prepared, and how I continue growing in this industry.

This loss has been incredibly difficult — not just financially, but emotionally. I’ve spent years growing in this industry and putting in the work at every level — from coffee runs and driving trucks to lens swaps and making sure picture is up. Every step has been part of building a solid foundation and working toward becoming a full-time AC.

I’ve always tried to bring reliability, passion, and care to every set I walk onto — and this kit was a major part of being able to do that professionally.

This gear took time, jobs, and a lot of sacrifice to collect.

Why I’m Asking for Help

With this gear gone, I can’t take on AC jobs or fully support the productions that trust me. I’ve already begun saving to rebuild, but replacing everything on my own right now isn’t financially possible.
