Hello, my name is Kaelee Magnolia Barbone, a Montclair State University Cali School of Music alumna and a custom installer for Best Buy.

I have been on this journey for 5 years, living my truth. I have been medically transitioning for 4 years with hormone replacement therapy and two surgical interventions during that time.

Despite all of this, I still deal with gender dysphoria due to the way I am perceived in public because of features that correspond with my gender assigned at birth.

While therapy, hormone therapy, and past procedures have assisted in navigating the world as a woman, I have determined that it is medically necessary to pursue brow reduction/chin reshaping and rhinoplasty with Dr. Bastidas and Dr. Reitzen with Northwell Health.

I am fortunate enough to have been approved by my medical insurance, but even with approval, the medical bills will be around $3,000.

I decided to organize this GoFundMe in an effort to alleviate some of the costs involved because, as necessary as these procedures may be, the costs of car maintenance, groceries, and rent are still ever-present in my day-to-day life.
