I picked up my baby Kaedo in a snowstorm in Feb of 2018 and he immediately became the center of my whole world. He's taught me so much about love and patience and I'm grateful for every day with him.

Unfortunately, at about 3 or 4 years old he started getting allergies. They were seasonal at first, only happening in the Spring and Fall. Back then they were relatively easy to manage and one cytopoint shot would give him the relief he needed until the season changed.

Each year his allergies have gotten worse. This year they've become so terrible that he's been having symptoms for the last 6 months straight. Cytopoint shots and apoquil don't put a dent in his symptoms. He's been off and on steroids and antibiotics since July. Even with all the medications, he is still miserable.

He is so itchy that the skin around his eyes and mouth is constantly puffy and red. He'll rub the dark "eyeliner" off from around his eyes, and more recently, itch off all the fur around his eyes and mouth. He licks his legs raw, sometimes to the point of licking all the fur off an area. Kaedo also gets terrible hot spots that get so irritating that he'll actually rip and gnaw chunks of hair off his body.

This year I have already spent $590.32 On treating Kaedo's allergies.

9/19 - $40.36 for steroids and antibiotics

9/13 - $100 for cytopoint

7/28 - $149.96 appointment, steroids, antibiotics, and allergy shampoo

7/20 - $100 for cytopoint

6/20 - $100 for cytopoint

5/17 - $100 for cytopoint

The funds will be used for Kaedo's appointments with a dermatologist at Thrive Pet Care. His appointment is on October 20th. I was quoted $500 for the initial appointment and $1500-$3000 for further testing and appointments. I've been told that they should be able to test and find his specific allergies and then formulate a personal injection for him that should give him the relief he needs.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can give. All donations will go towards Kaedo's medical expenses. I will update this page as we go through the testing process and learn more.
