Hi. My name is Kadin. I am a service animal for my owner Dakota. My features resemble that of a Jack Russel. I was born in a shelter in Landers, CA outside of Joshua Tree. I will be 8 years old on August 5, 2024.

On June 14, 2022, I had TPLO surgery with Katy Fyer DVM, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, CA

Specific Surgery: Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) Repair: Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) This ligament is like the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in humans.

The Surgeon warned us that after having one knee repaired, this may happen in the opposite knee .

Well, sure enough.... a few days ago my knee went out. I can't walk on it or put any pressure on it. Without TPLO surgery, I will have to walk on 3 legs.

We need urgent help. Surgery is recommended as soon as possible to reduce permanent, irreversible joint damage and to relieve pain.
