Kadie Leighann Boudreaux is is my niece. She’s 16 years old and lives in Denham Springs, Louisiana with her parents, Mark and Brandy Boudreaux, and her grandfather, Bill Joiner.
When Kadie was a toddler she experienced seizures but as she got a little older they went away. All of a sudden about 1 1/2 years ago they resurfaced and she has been having them since then on a periodic basis.
She has been seen by numerous doctors and other medical professionals. The one thing that is definitely a trigger for a seizure is her seeing flashing lights in any situation.
She is an established patient at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Mark and Brandy have taken Kadie to appointments at LeBonheur multiple times previously and she is scheduled to return to the hospital on September 18, 2025.
While Kadie has insurance coverage for LeBonheur, there are out of pocket costs that the family will have and will need help with.
Would you please consider making a donation to help Mark and Brandy with travel expenses (gas and food primarily as LeBonheur has on campus lodging for families similar to the Ronald McDonald houses but they may need a hotel for the first night) and other incidental expenses that arise.
Mark is the source of income for Brandy, Kadie and himself. He will have to take off the entire week from work as a trip to LeBonheur entails a week’s stay. Mark will miss a week’s paycheck as a result.
Thank you so very much!! Your contributions are greatly appreciated!
