Kadence and Damek’s world changed in an instant when their beautiful twin girls made their entrance far too early. Born at just 25 weeks, each weighing less than one pound. These tiny fighters are now in the NICU at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, receiving the best possible care as they grow stronger day by day.

This journey is one no parent can ever fully prepare for. Kadence and Damek are both taking leave from work to be by their daughters’ sides, while grandma has also taken leave to be there to support them through every step. They are away from home, family, and friends for what will be a long and emotional road ahead.

While their focus is where it needs to be on their precious girls, Ellie & Blake, life at home doesn’t stop. Mortgage, bills, and everyday expenses continue to pile up, all while they’re hundreds of kilometers away fighting through the hardest chapter of their lives.
