Help Kade Upshaw Heal After Motorcycle Accident
Donation protected
This is my son Kade Upshaw he is a 32 year old single father of 2 from Lumberton Texas. On the evening of June 20th about 8:15pm. Kade decided to take his motorcycle a couple hours away to watch girls state softball tournaments and unfortunately never made it there. Witnesses say he was changing lanes going about 60 and they aren’t sure if a vehicle threw a large piece of rubber or if it was already on the road and he didn’t see it because of the vehicle infront of him and him changing lanes but it hit him causing him to wreck on the Interstate in Houston Texas. Thankfully he had on a helmet and he is alive but he has a long recovery ahead. He is in ICU at Ben Taub in Houston with Multiple broken bones broken shoulder and I believe 3 ribs along with extensive road burn on almost every part of his body. His lower half is extremely bad as well as his back and arms. He may require surgeries and possible skin graphs on some of the burn areas. kade works but does not have insurance nor any paid time off. We know there are going to be some major medical bills and the cost of what it’s going to take to travel back and forth until he gets to come home and then once he is home the recovery process. We are just asking for a little help with anything that may come about in the next however many months. I hate doing this as Darrell and I are going to do what we can no matter what but know it’s not going to be easy. We appreciate all the calls text and IM we have gotten and will keep everyone updated
