Help Kade Floyd Breathe Easy Again

Donation protected
Kade Floyd is 8 years old. He is a 3rd grade student at Meadowfield Elementary in Columbia, SC. He was diagnosed with autism when he was small, but he hasn't let that slow him down! He has overcome all obstacles that he has been presented with. He is very happy, silly, and affectionate. His mom, dad, and sister need our help.

On October 13, 2024, Kade was rushed to the hospital as he was struggling to breathe. He had to be intubated and has been on a ventilator in ICU ever since. He was admitted with pulmonary hemmoraging, rhinovirus, influenza, and it was determined he was in septic shock. Since being admitted, it has also been discovered he is fighting parainfluenza virus.

While Kade has made small improvements here and there, he still has such a LONG fight ahead of him. The hospital has stated the earliest he would possibly be released is December. Even with a full recovery, Kade will need extensive therapy to get him back to 100%.

His dad has taken FMLA to be with Kade, his wife, and help with Kade's 5-year-old little sister, Charleigh. It would mean the world to them to not have to worry about paying bills or affording food during all of this. Let's help ease the financial burden so that they can focus on Kade and getting him well.
