Hi there, thanks for taking the time to read about my sister's story. We see you and thank you!

On October 1st, Kaci was in a serious car accident on I-95. It left her in a comatose state for nearly 3 weeks. She suffered a broken neck, back, arm, ribs, and nose, as well as severe breathing problems that made her vent-dependent for a period of time. We received heartbreaking news post-back surgery that she is paralyzed from the belly-button down, and although there's a possibility of regaining sensation or even function of the lower extremities, it could take months or years.

She has lots of intensive therapy and rehabilitation ahead of her, and with your help, we will be using all donations for a wheelchair/mobility scooter, medications, and to hopefully continue her therapy for as long as possible.

As some may know, our father experienced very similar injuries 5 years ago, and we've struggled to get back on our feet mentally and emotionally since then. Kaci has struggled quite a bit since coming out of the coma, but all of your kind words and reaching out have helped keep her spirits high. For that, we are all so grateful.
