Hi everyone, my name is Ogechi, and I live in Germany. I am setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend in Nigeria and her 19-year-old brother, Kachi, who is living with nephrotic syndrome.

Because GoFundMe payouts are not directly supported for Nigerian bank accounts, I am hosting this fundraiser from Germany. Every euro raised will be transferred directly to Kachi's sister to cover his urgent medical treatments in Nigeria.

Here is the story directly from Kachi's sister:

"Kachi was diagnosed 7 years ago, and as his sister, I've been responsible for his medical bills ever since. Our family has exhausted our savings over the years, leaving me as his main caregiver. It's been a long road of recurring relapses, hospital visits, and treatments, but I've always found a way to keep going for him.

I recently lost my job, and that has made it incredibly difficult to keep up with his care at a time when his kidney health is deteriorating. His doctors have now prescribed Rituximab and Valganciclovir, along with ultrafiltration and other procedures, as part of his treatment plan. This is the most expensive treatment that he has needed so far.

We started this treatment once before and saw real improvement, but couldn't complete it because of the cost. Without finishing it the right way, his symptoms have started getting worse again.

We're raising €3,500 (approx. ₦3,867,200) to help Kachi complete this treatment and get back to stable health. Any support, big or small, gets him closer."
