Kaari was diagnosed in July, and after extensive testing and oncology visits, her doctors confirmed it. She will begin 4-6 rounds of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, with the long-term plan still to be determined.

Kaari is self-employed and runs her own personal training and health coaching business — work that depends on her being physically able to show up. During treatment, she will miss a significant amount of work, resulting in lost income at the same time the medical bills have already arrived.
