Help K9 Deputy Tommy Miller and His Family

Donation protected
I am posting this GoFundMe to help raise money for Deputy Miller and his family. Deputy Miller was almost killed by a drunk driver while on duty and is still undergoing lifesaving medical treatments.

On November 14th, 2024, Deputy Miller and his K9, Roki, were returning home from training when a drunk driver slammed into their vehicle. Deputy Miller was at a complete stop when the drunk driver hit his K9 vehicle traveling approximately 40 MPH. The vehicle was totaled, but Deputy Miller and K9 Roki appeared to be OK. Roki was cleared by his veterinarian, and the two went on sick leave to recover from what they thought were just bumps and bruises.

However, four days later, while at home recovering, Deputy Miller's health took a turn for the worse, and he was taken to the hospital by his neighbor. It was determined he needed a life-saving emergency surgery. Doctors discovered the accident had ruptured his intestines, and he had been bleeding internally since the accident. Deputy Miller was rushed into emergency surgery and treated for sepsis. They removed part of his intestines and colon and inserted a colostomy bag and drain, which he still has. His next surgery is scheduled for early March, and he still has a very long road to recovery.

As you may know, most law enforcement officers depend on not only their regular paycheck but also overtime and a second job to help pay their family's bills. While the Merced County Sheriff's Office has been paying Deputy Miller workers' compensation wages, this is only a percentage of his regular pay, and Deputy Miller has been unable to work any job as he is still undergoing treatment for the injuries that almost killed him.

While the family has done everything possible to make ends meet during this very hard time, their situation is fragile with each passing day. I am asking you to please consider donating to the Miller family to help them continue to pay their bills while Deputy Miller recovers. Every little bit will help them stay afloat.

100% of the funds raised will go directly to the Miller family.

Thank you in advance for helping this amazing K9 handler and his family.
