Hello, we're writing this in support of our very dear friend K in the hopes of helping them access gender-affirming care with the support they need.

Like many trans people, K has been on the road to accessing vital gender-affirming care for a long time. They hope to be given a surgery date in early 2026. As many of you will be aware with the unbelievable wait times for NHS care many have to seek care privately. The process for accessing surgeries includes many costly consultations and assessments, travel to and from appointments, the surgery itself as well as the recovery following the surgery. Since beginning the process of finding the right surgeon K is facing a huge increase in the cost of the surgery itself, as well extra pressure to ensure they have the resources to support themself through recovery.

As K’s friends were hoping to help them in whatever way we can and have witnessed the vulnerability it takes to ask for that help too.

If you've ever laughed at one of their jokes, loved one of their poems, or drooled over a thirst trap, now is the time to let them know by giving whatever you can, no matter how small. Even just sharing this fundraiser will help them reach their goal quicker. Thank you for reading!
