K. is a dear friend and a cherished member of my sacred community. She is currently facing one of the most difficult times in her life, having recently left a horribly unsafe domestic violence situation. With nowhere else to go, K. is now living out of her car with her beloved animals, after no longer being able to stay at the hotel or shelter. Her car is having mechanical troubles, and she is at risk of it being green tagged, which could leave her and her animals without any shelter at all.

The funds raised here will help K. save for a security deposit so she can get off the street and into a safe home. They will also help keep her car running and steady, so she has a reliable place to stay and the ability to work again when she’s ready. Most importantly, your support will help provide for her and her animals' basic needs—food, safety, and a sense of hope for the future.

Often, survivors of domestic violence come away with very little, and K. is no exception. She will need all the support she can get to rebuild her life.
