My name is Joy and I am a friend and advocate of a person living in our community park who is without shelter in the very hot weather.

K. is working on a plan to get long-term housing but the need in our city is high and the wait is long. He is connected to public agencies to get this ball rolling but is suffering from the catastrophic effects of lifetime trauma and greater than 4 years of being homeless. Because of scary times in homeless shelters in the past, K. is not able to use that option. He is a kind, sweet, intelligent, and creative person who could use a hand now!
