Justin had just celebrated his 30th birthday when he was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue in August of 2023. 

This was considered extremely rare as Justin never smoked or chewed tobacco. He had a very active life style. He and his wife Gosia enjoyed hiking, walking, and running and he especially enjoyed teaching soccer for two seasons for a team his daughter Serena was part of.

He had surgery to remove the cancer, a couple rounds of chemo, and multiple weeks of radiation. In February of 2024, the family was told the tumor had metastasized. Since then, he tried treatment after treatment and fought hard each and every day. Unfortunately, after fighting for 14 months, cancer took his life. Justin leaves behind his wife and a six year old daughter.

Justin left an impact on everyone’s lives. He was kind, funny, loving. He didn’t have a mean bone in his body. He was a great husband, father, son, and friend.
