Hi, friends! As you know, two months ago, I relocated to Tucson, Arizona from New York City. It's quite the change, but I really love my new home. It's beautiful here, I'm enjoying nature (hiking, camping!) much more, and the local activist and queer communities have been incredibly welcoming. Tucson's a lovely city; you should all come visit!

The job market everywhere is rough, tho, so it's a bit difficult to get on my feet with full-time work, and I am severely underemployed and at this point almost out of what's in my bank account. I've managed to get a few stage-hand gigs through the local IATSE and am doing my due diligence to break into P.A. work as well, but as with any new line of work (and especially anything in the artistic world) it will take some time. I've also gotten a part time job at a cute local left cafe & bookstore (Revolutionary Grounds), which is really fun, but am only doing swing-shifts right now covering for people, so it's not much income.

I really don't like asking people for money -- in fact, I much prefer having extra to give. But I'm hoping to raise a month of expenses and any extra would go towards saving up to buy a used car, assuming some more work will come along in the meantime. I know basically everyone is feeling a financial squeeze right now, but if you are able to help out at all, even $10 or $20, it would mean a lot. I'm very fortunate to have a wide network of acquaintances, friends, and comrades, so if everyone gave just a little bit it would go a long way.
