Hello, and Thank you to each and everyone of you who are reading this, willing to help with any donation amount , and an abundance of prayers.
This is my incredible cousin Justin Bailey.
Very recently Justin and his parents whole world has been shattered with devastating news that no person, no parent, or loved one should have to hear.
Justin has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM), his type is extremely aggressive and rare. He has cancer cells that were also found in his spinal fluid.
I am Justin's first cousin Renee, his mom Laureen Depaolo, is my maternal Aunt. I am raising funds on behalf of Justin and his parents to afford his Proton Therapy Cancer Treatments,(still awaiting the exact amount and will update as soon as possible),Travel expenses to drive Justin to and from his Proton Therapy Treatments including gas, and parking. They will travel over 2 hours each way, a minimum of 5 days a week for 6 weeks. The tolls alone will be around $30 a day with an EZ pass . The traveling expenses & parking will range between $275 to $450 weekly . He may need additional medical supplies for treatment as we find out more in the upcoming days and weeks. With this said, every dollar donated is going towards Justin's fight against Glioblastoma cancer. I will continue to inform everyone with any updates, and if there are any changes to Justin's care . We will do this together , please, Lets help Justin !! These cancer treatments are crucial for Justin and his ability to make it to them are just as important. The funds raised for his cancer treatments, and related costs will go directly to Justin, under the care of his mother to be able to fund these expenses.
We ask for any contribution, no matter the amount, It truly helps!
If you are unable to donate, we ask for your prayers for Justin & to please share this GoFundMe.
We greatly appreciate ALL of you!!

Here is a more detailed description of Justin's story:
- On July 18th 2023 , Justin was brought into the emergency room at Geisinger Hospital, Scranton, PA during the early morning hours by his mother, he had been experiencing excruciating pain in his head, what we call migraines, or headaches ,what he felt was indescribable to those words. Each episode would cause Justin to vomit and his mother knew at this point he had to be seen immediately and have imaging done.
The hospital was not equipped for what Justin would need and He was transferred to another hospital In PA , the Uncology Unit. The nuero doctors and surgeons were specialized to determine the best way to go forward.
They found that Justin had one tumor originally that split and separated into two .The doctors/surgeons discussed with caution in regards to Justin's life, a surgery to drain the fluid from his brain and carefully try to remove a portion , if any of the tumors.

- Justin had Surgery on July 20th 2023, the next morning. The surgery took Over 2 hours , the doctors were able to drain the fluid in his brain, remove 25% of one tumor and absolutely wouldn't be able to touch/remove any part of the other tumor, as it would affect Justin's motorskills, speech and memory. Biopsies were taken to test for cancer. The usual wait for results would take up to two weeks. The doctors believed it to be cancer, but we still had hoped it wouldn't be.
You can imagine the pain and suffering Justin had endured during this.
After 3 days , they did another surgery and inserted the shunt.
- Once the shunt was put in Justin's head , the doctors/surgeons took the time to make sure it was properly functioning for Justin. He was finally allowed home after 12 Days of ICU.
- On August 3rd 2023, the results were in, A rare brain cancer, glioblastoma, with cancer cells in Justin's spinal fluid. The doctor explained with his cancer being so rare , the course of treatment he would need and Proton Therapy was best course of treatment.
Justin has been an extremely resilient and amazing man through all of this. He is strong in his faith, still has the will to fight. He is unlike any other. He inspires , and even while suffering in pain and the reality of what he is going through, he appreciates all the things in life without complaining .
