My name is Terri and I'm fundraising for my son Justin.
On June 8, 2021 Justin rolled his Razor while in the desert. The Razor landed on his left hand crushing all 5 fingers and his hand.
He has had 2 surgeries so far on his hand.
Unfortunately the surgeon was not able to save his index finger and with the latest surgery his index finger was amputated.
The skin to his palm also had to be removed.
He is an apprentice with sheet metal and welding.
He has a wonderful employer, Certified Air Balancing, that is willing to hold his position until he is healed and ready to return to work.
Until then he has a long road ahead of him, he will be requiring multiple surgeries and physical therapy for months to come.
At this point we are hopeful that the remaining fingers will continue to heal and not have to be removed.
The fundraiser is for a finger prosthesis. When he returns to work his job will require heavy lifting and at times detailed use of both hands.
I have found a wonderful, and very reputable, upper extremity prosthetic company that is willing to work with him during this healing
process. The photo of the finger prosthesis above is my goal.

This prosthesis looks very promising and should allow him to return to work functioning almost 100%!
With this finger prosthesis it will allow him to lift up to 100 lbs.
But the prosthesis is very expensive and his insurance does not cover what he needs.
He is a dad of 3 young children, Conor 5, Joscelyn 8 and Hailie 10.
He is such a wonderful dad and has a great outlook on returning to work and providing for his family.
Thank you for donating and helping Justin in the long road he has ahead of him.
I just want to say thank you to everyone and with such gratitude for all donations.
Terri Whiting
