Help Justin who is recovering in the burn unit

My name is Kylee,

I've started this gofundme in order to help my step brother and step mom in their time of need.

Justin LaDouceur-Oikle is a 35 year old sweetheart, who from birth has suffered from Microcephaly and Global Delay. He lacked oxygen in his brain and due to this has brain damage.

His mother Pauline has been not only his primary caregiver, but the most important person to him. The bond they have is a blessing to watch. Simply put, they're inseparable.

Justin is non-verbal and psychically delayed therefore he requires full time care.

Despite his delays, Justin is always smiling, loves to give hugs and listening to Shania Twain

To ensure Justin recieves the best possible care, Pauline has entrusted a health care facility to bring in PSW's to come to the house and assist her.

This is unfortunately, what has led us to the situation we're in today.

On Sunday, October 6th, a PSW had come to help with Justin's everyday needs, including giving him a bath.

This bath has led Justin to suffer from 1st and 2nd degree burns over 20% of his body. The Cornwall Hospital had him air lifted by plane to the Ross Tilley Burn Centre in Toronto due to the severity and coverage of his burns.

Since Justin hasn't been away from his family before, his loving Mom, Pauline drove to Toronto to be with him. He cannot be alone, especially in a situation like this in which he can't understand the severity.

The doctors are very worried about infections developing. Due to the severity of Justin's burns, he will need to have 2 different surgerys for skins graft as the burns are deeper than they initally thought. They predict that Justin will be in the hospital for 3 weeks minimum.

Due to the extent of the burns, Justin is in a great deal of pain and has been having on and off fevers.

This is where we need your help, unfortunately the government isn't able to assist with any of the finances Pauline is going to both sacrifice by not working, and the everyday costs, such a parking fees, food costs, and potentially needing to stay in a hotel.

If you could please find it in your hearts to help my family during this very tumultuous time it would be a massive burden lifted off of my step mother, Pauline's, shoulders.

Which would in turn, enable her to stay with Justin, who isn't able to fully understand what has happened to him.
