Help Justin on the Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about what my brother, Justin is going through. It has been so hard to watch his life change over the last 10 months. He went from teaching, coaching, surfing and living a vibrant life to now being unable to do anything other than try and keep his spirits up in hopes of a cure. His days are spent mostly in bed, unable to even have conversations some days.
Justin has been suffering from a Chronic Illness and Post Concussion Syndrome. He had a concussion (TBI) in October from boxing. (Other concussions when he played football in college and at least one that we know of from high school football.) He has been out of work since the end of February. As we search for recovery and a cure the headaches, pressure in his head and vision are worsening. Disorientation and “no answers” leaving him hopeless going deeper and deeper into a dark hole. He is losing the ability to fight after 10+ months. It seems like anything that will help costs a fortune. He has Blue Shield PPO insurance but almost all places that treat him are out of pocket.
He was a Jr. High Teacher at a small Christian School, football coach and Youth Group Pastor. He was excited for his future, stepping more into the role of growing the school and being able to reach out to more youth. Justin had just finished his Master Degree in Education, in December 2020 when the world began to fall out from under him. Justin’s only desire is to get his life back.
He has depleted his Savings, maxed out his credit cards on Therapies with the hope of healing and relief. He is still waiting on disability.
We are hoping that with raising these funds it will help alleviate the financial stress and help him on the road to recovery. Next week he is beginning treatments with a neurological physical therapist. We are praying for amazing results.
Thank you all for you love, support and prayers. Justin and family are deeply thankful.
