Help Justin walk again after climbing fall
Donation protected
Calling all friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out to all reading this with a heavy heart to share the story of our brother, Justin, who recently endured a terrifying accident while pursuing his passion for rock climbing. He has trained for many years and was approaching a professional level
when this accident occurred. We are setting up this GoFundMe campaign in the hopes of raising funds to support his journey towards recovery and help alleviate the financial burden that has befallen him.
A few weeks ago, Justin was involved in a rock-climbing accident that left him with a severely injured foot. The impact of 10 feet to rock caused his bone to rip straight
through his skin, leaving his foot just dangling off. He was lucky enough to have nearby hikers and climbers help calm him while mountain rescue came. At Boulder Community Health he went through multiple surgeries to save him from amputation.
The road to recovery for our brother will be hard. Before he begins months of intensive
physical therapy, he is under doctor care to regulate pain, infection and prognosis of his
ability to walk again. The expenses associated with these medical procedures, therapy sessions, and the inevitable loss of income while he is unable to work pose an overwhelming financial challenge.
Justin is a 31 year old who just recently made the scary leap to start his own small business. The business is run by himself and his long time friend, James. They repair, maintain and sell commercial coffee equipment for large and small businesses. Being able to travel and stand is a major part of Justin’s job, and this injury has made it nearly impossible for him to contribute to the business while he focuses on recovery.
What makes this accident even more difficult is Justin did not have health insurance when this happened. While it may be easy to feel unsympathetic towards Justin for not
having insurance, we humbly ask that you offer support despite this. The cost and deductibles available to him forced Justin to make a decision, and he chose to pay his rent.
Justin knows this decision could wind up ending his business and put him in extreme debt, but we cannot turn back time.
We humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in helping us cover the expenses associated with Justin's accident and recovery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and generosity. We will be forever grateful for your assistance in helping Justin get back on his feet.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The sisters
