Our family is facing the most difficult challenge we have ever experienced.

A few days ago, my husband, Justin, suffered a devastating lawnmower accident that resulted in the loss of half of his foot. In an instant, our lives changed forever. Justin is still in the hospital receiving treatment, and while we are incredibly grateful that he is alive, the road ahead will be long, painful, and uncertain.

Watching someone you love endure such a traumatic injury is heartbreaking. The physical pain Justin is facing is unimaginable, and the emotional impact on our family has been overwhelming. Every day brings new challenges as we try to process what has happened and prepare for what comes next.

Since the accident, both Justin and I have been unable to work. While Justin remains hospitalized and begins the difficult journey of recovery, I have been by his side while also caring for our young daughter, who misses her daddy terribly. Like any child, she doesn't fully understand why he can't come home yet, only that her world suddenly feels different.

The reality we are now facing includes months of recovery, rehabilitation, medical appointments, mobility aids, and learning how to adapt to a completely different way of life. Along with the emotional strain, we are struggling with the financial burden of losing both of our incomes at a time when expenses are increasing every day.

Justin is a loving husband and an incredible father. Our daughter adores him, and seeing the bond they share makes this situation even harder. Right now, our focus is on helping Justin heal, regain his independence, and return home to the family that loves him so much.
