Help Justin Overcome Cancer's Financial Burden

This is Justin Larson, my husband of 26 years and my best friend, lover of hot sauce, soccer, bonsai art, and this cool cat Chachi. In March of 2024, Justin was diagnosed with stage 3C prostate cancer. While we were initially told the cancer was most likely already metastatic and were given a life expectancy of 2-5 years (yes, this actually happened!), subsequent tests and scans have convinced his doctors that he will instead make a full recovery, but we are looking at 3 years of cancer treatments, including radiation. Even though he does have insurance, there is a $5000 deductible as well as an additional $5000 out-of-pocket maximum and his diagnosis has already resulted in additional out-out-of-pocket costs that don't apply to that maximum, including over the counter meds and supplements, CBD, special recommended foods, a lot of transportation costs (the oncologists and the six weeks of everyday radiation are all in Portland, an hour from where we live), as well as a 3-day hospital stay last month. Justin will likely be unable to work throughout his treatment and any help will greatly reduce our stress during this difficult time. While this experience has been more humbling than expected, the life lessons learned have been invaluable to us. Like the price of time, the absolute unwavering positivity Justin has now, and his renewed love for experiencing life. He appreciates the small things now. His cancer has arguably changed every aspect of his life in the most positive and productive ways I have ever seen. From his thinking process to his love for me and our family, everything is really positive in how this cancer has changed him. No sob story, just the husband with cancer I can't live without.
