As most of you know, on  Tuesday, August 7 Justin was taken to the hospital via ambulance. He is extremely ill, having suffered a torn aortic valve and a stroke. He has had 2 surgeries, multiple CT scans, and ongoing dialysis. He is currently on a ventilator, and is very slowly awakening from his medically induced coma. 

Justin is not eligible for disability services at this time, so they are without his income. In addition, Naomi has been at the hospital nearly nonstop, so she has not been working either. Naomi's co-workers have generously donated some PTO hours, but those will end soon, and much of her income is commission based, so that is having an impact on their income as well. 

Of course, we know how insurance in this country works, so there is no telling how large the bills might be for all of the medical care Justin has received - and he still has a long, long road ahead of him for recovery. 
Marshall is turning 6 next week, and also starting school in September, so they will need to go back to school shopping soon.
