Help Justin & Jessica with his medical expenses

Hey everyone,

Many people know already that Justin has suffered with a condition called Hemophilia since he was born. Hemophilia is a condition where your blood will not clot like normal. Normal back strain for us can cause him internal bleeding and a lot of pain. He has “bleeds” internally often. There are treatments that can help but he had to discontinue them because they’re $22k a month for the treatments. Insurance only pays so much for that. Justin and Jessica recently got married and her coverage also is helping but still limited. Because of the extreme medical cost Justin has been trying to avoid treatments and doctor visits.

Yesterday, Justin was rushed to the ER yesterday with extreme pain and blood sugar of almost 800. He fell into a diabetic coma while being transported. His white blood count was high and when they did a CT they noticed he had a bleed in his back that is 2 feet long (which means he’s bleeding internally). Needless to say he’s in extreme pain. His sugar levels are a little below 500 now, still dangerously high. They’re waiting for a bed in the ICU to come available. While they wait they’re trying to get his blood sugar levels down and keeping him as comfortable as possible.

The silver lining in this is a hemophilia specialist from a hospital in the St Louis area saw him today and has connections with the specialist at UW. When he is stabilized they want to get him on track for treatments that will give him a better quality of life. None the less, all of this is very expensive.

I would love to give him one less thing to worry about when he is stable enough to heal.
