Hi, my name is Aubrey, and I’m a mom of three doing everything I can to hold my family together during an incredibly difficult time.
In October 2024, my partner Justin underwent major brain surgery to remove a tumor near his pituitary gland. He subsequently underwent a CSF leak that was repaired in April. Since his repair we are now facing a long and uncertain recovery that includes pituitary gland failure, worsening neurological symptoms, and complications. He’s experienced debilitating symptoms like trouble speaking, muscle weakness, twitching, and episodes of cognitive dysfunction — all of which have made it impossible for him to return to work reliably.
As Justin now begins referrals to intensive rehab and neurological care at UT Southwest, I’ll be taking on the role of his full-time driver, advocate, and caregiver — all while raising our children, managing our household, and trying to earn income through self-employment. We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat — we’ve applied for local grants, spoken with churches, and sought every form of assistance we can find. But the gap between what we need and what’s available is growing wider by the day.
We don't qualify for most state aid because we make over the monthly income threshold. We are trying to build community and that takes time — and right now, we urgently need help just to make it through the next few months.

What Funds Will Go Toward:
Gas and travel expenses for medical appointments
Rent and utilities while Justin recovers
Basic household needs and school supplies for our kids
Occasional childcare support so I can work and get to appointments
Emergency medical or care-related costs not covered by insurance

We are deeply grateful for anything you can contribute. Every donation — no matter the size — helps buy us time, stability, and space to breathe. Even just sharing our story helps more than you know.
Thank you for seeing us and helping us get through this chapter with dignity and love.
With gratitude,
Aubrey & Family
