Justin’s story is one of resilience and hardship. I met him today in Spanish Fork while visiting my chiropractor. He was panhandling, and I approached him to say hello and offer help. Justin is facing a severe infection in his mouth that has caused his lips and mouth to swell dangerously, putting his life at risk. He shared with me that his mother never cared to raise him and eventually rejected him, kicking him out because she is on disability and cannot house him. His father was his only support, but tragically, Justin lost his father in a car accident that he was also involved in. Now, Justin has no one to turn to and nothing to his name. He searches for secluded places to sleep, but even there, he faces harassment from local authorities who have threatened to take him to jail if he returns to where he was staying.

Justin’s situation is urgent. He needs immediate medical attention for his infection, as well as a safe place to shower, eat, and sleep.
