Hi! My name is Justin Talamantez, and I’m honored to have been selected as a composer fellow for the 2025 Texas New Music Festival in Houston!

As part of this incredible opportunity, I’ll have three of my original works premiered:

• Whisper’s Echo – a piano four-hands piece

• Uncharted Waters – a work for the Texas New Music Ensemble

• Serpent’s Charm – a solo flute piece

This festival brings together composers and conductors from all over to create, collaborate, and celebrate new music. Being part of it is a deeply meaningful step forward in my growth as a musician and composer.

I’m raising $1,200 to help cover the costs of attending:

• $400 – remaining festival fees

• $450 – lodging (Airbnb for 8 nights)

• $100 – gas to and from Houston

• $160 – meals during the festival

• $90 – for supplies, parking, and unexpected needs
