Help Justin Fulfill His Tech Dream at Hampton
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Justin Harris, and I’ve recently been accepted into Hampton University to major in Computer Science — a huge step toward my dream of working in tech and using it to help others.
Technology is changing the world faster than ever, and I want to be a part of that change. While in high school, I joined a Google tech program where I learned multiple programming languages, collaborated on team projects, and developed real-world solutions with my peers. It opened my eyes to how powerful computer science can be, and how it can make life better for so many people.
Unfortunately, after taking out all the loans available to me, I’m still short of $37,215 — the remaining amount I need to cover my first year of tuition, housing, and school expenses. I’ve applied for scholarships and aid, but so far it hasn’t been enough. My family is doing their best to support me, but the cost is overwhelming.
I’m asking for help because I don’t want finances to be the reason I miss out on this opportunity. This education means everything to me. It’s the first big step toward building a future where I can give back to my community and work in a field that’s always evolving and full of possibility.
Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this page, every little bit counts. Thank you so much for reading and supporting my journey — I truly appreciate it more than words can say.
With gratitude,
Justin Harris
Hi my name is Justin Harris im 17 and from Manhattan new york and I have recently been accepted to Hampton University as a Computer Science major—a huge step toward my dream career in tech and the use of technology to help others.
Technology is transforming the world faster than ever, and I want to be part of that change. During high school, I did a program with Google where I learned multiple coding languages, worked in teams to solve programming tasks, and developed real-life solutions with peers. It showed me the power that computer science can wield and whetted my desire to hone that craft to help improve lives.
Unfortunately, after taking out all the loans available to me, I am still $37,215 short of the amount necessary to pay for my tuition, boarding, and other school expenses in the first year. I’ve applied for scholarships and aid, but so far it hasn’t been enough. My family is doing their best to support me, but the cost is overwhelming.
I am asking for help because I don't want money to be the reason that I miss this opportunity. This education means the world to me. It is the first giant step toward establishing a future in which I can give back to my community, working in a field that's ever changing and offers countless possibilities.
Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this page I am truly grateful. Thank you so very much for reading and supporting me on my journey.
With gratitude,
