Cancer is never something anyone plans for. Unfortunately Justin has been diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. While they were able to remove the original tumor and get clear margins, the cancer cells had already broken off and spread to the lymph nodes. While it is a good thing that there are no tumors formed, cancer cells in the lymph nodes means we are not done with this. Justin will require some form of treatment for at least the next year, and regular scans and checks to make sure cancer cells haven’t spread or metastasized. Unfortunately melanoma is not like other cancers in the fact that it doesn’t spread in a pattern. It is random and can spread anywhere at anytime. While we are incredibly thankful this isn’t worse, these treatments are expensive. As most of you know we have 4 children ages 11,9, and 8 year old twin boys. We are hoping this go fund me will help offset some of our medical costs so that we can continue to keep our kids lives as normal as possible. We love you all and appreciate any help (and prayers) you can give during this time.
