Help Justin and Vanessa Heal and Hope Again

Justin and Vanessa are two of the most genuine and generous people you could ever meet.
Two days after hearing their sweet baby girl’s heartbeat for the first time on Valentine’s Day, Vanessa suffered a miscarriage. We are all devastated. In the midst of the emotional pain, medical bills are piling up. Their sweet baby was the result of months of expensive and exhausting IVF treatments.
Despite their present pain, Justin and Vanessa have made the brave decision that they don’t want to leave their other 4 viable embryos behind without a chance to be born. This will mean more expenses. They would never ask for financial help, but as their friends and family, we will! Please consider joining us in supporting them through financial support.
If you want to hear more about their beautiful and painful journey so far keep reading.
In the past, Justin and Vanessa have shared little pieces of their lives online like most of us do these days, but this year they decided to move past the filtered highlights and happy posts we all make and be vulnerable in a new way. Vanessa has been through multiple surgeries to ease her pain and remove potentially deadly advanced endometriosis.
This past June Vanessa shared on Facebook and Instagram and shared the rest of the story.
“I debated whether or not to post anything about my journey but I decided that if it could help someone else find comfort or peace or help them know they are not alone, it was worth it!”
With this in mind, they let us all in on their own personal pain and joys along the way.
In late October, Vanessa and Justin bravely announced that, despite the overwhelming costs, they were ready start their IVF journey. On Instagram and Facebook Vanessa shared, “Justin and I have big decision to jump feet first into life again! I have never been shy about sharing my infertility journey but this time I have been scared to share because I am afraid it won’t work. But there’s nothing to be afraid of! We want to share our journey so others may know they are not alone! So here we go!” After sharing some of the details and dates of their journey she ended with, “We are excited, nervous, anxious and hopeful all rolled into one big ball of energy and nerves. We will share along the way because we know this will take a village so thank you for being part of our village! We love you all!”
They shared their journey online each step of the way, celebrating miracles and milestones.
Finally, they announced the news that we had all been hoping for, one of their baby girl embryos had been transferred and she was thriving. After several nerve-racking weeks, they announced their official pregnancy.
“14 years! We have been on this journey for 14 years and we are FINALLY pregnant! Baby girl Graff will be joining us October 2025! Thank you all so much for the love, prayers, fasting and overall support! We have felt all of it and it blessed our lives more than we could ever express. Thank you.”
On Valentine’s Day, Justin and Vanessa were able to see their baby girl and hear her heartbeat for the first time.
“We got a very special valentines gift today. We weren’t scheduled for our 6 weeks scan until Tuesday but I woke up in the middle of the night with some unexpected and scary bleeding so our midwife suggested we move up our appointment to make sure baby girl was safe. I had the most amazing ultrasound tech who knew I was more than a little anxious and he quickly found the baby to let me know that she looked ok before going through the rest of the exam. I’ve never cried at the words “you have a sac” before but today those tears just free flowed! Baby girl is looking great with a steady and strong heartbeat! We are still having some worrisome bleeding but I am going to rest this weekend and see if it will resolve without any more concerns. We will go back in a few weeks for another scan just to make sure everything is still looking good! Happy Valentines Day from our little heart to yours!”
Unfortunately, two days later they rushed to urgent care and found out that their baby girl wasn’t going to make it to earth.
“Baby girl Graff got all the body she needed and decided to stay in the arms of our Heavenly Father. We will get to love and enjoy her in the next life. We are so blessed to have so many people who have cheered, prayed, supported and loved us through this whole journey. We have had so many miracles throughout this whole process and we are grateful for the few weeks we got to have her in our life. Thank you all for your love!”
Justin and Vanessa, as well as their friends and family, are devastated. They are taking this time to heal, but we asked permission to create a space for the community to rally behind them financially. IVF is an expensive journey, each step is another bill. Please join us in rallying behind them by giving to help with the costs they have paid so far and the cost of the next steps in their journey. They have 4 embryos left and would like to try again for a baby.
