I am a 56 year old widowed woman in a very tight place. I work full-time, but my income is not enough to cover my bills. Last year, my Mom had a stroke. She lived in Germany. I got on a plane to be with her, sat by her bedside every day. Shortly after I had to come back home, she died. I went back to Germany to handle her funeral, and the expenses for the two Germany trips and everything that's involved in a funeral just about wiped me out. When I came back home, my beloved dog was diagnosed with mast cell cancer. The $700 per month chemotherapy did not work for her. She died late August. Since then I've been griefstricken and struggling financially. I sold everything that would sell on Craigslist and got two freelance jobs so I could make extra money around my full-time job. November 14, a close Uncle died. I got a therapist and started taking Zoloft. I couldn't wait for 2016 to be gone! Therapy and Zoloft helped and I scrambled on. Early February I started noticing that something with my own health was wrong. February 14th would have been my parents 64th wedding anniversary, hope they got to party in heaven! On that day my closest Uncle died in Germany, completely unexpected. My breathing problems and total fatigue barely allowed me to do my full-time job, but no more moonlighting. I finally wound up in the ER, and after numerous blood tests, a CT scan, Pet Scan, x-rays, and biopsy, I was diagnosed with stage IV, metastatic kidney cancer. I have a large mass in and on my left kidney, and the cancer spread to my lungs and the fourth vertebrae in my neck. This coming week I'm to start medication therapy. Chemo does not work on kidney cancer, but these new leading edge drugs show good results so far. I want to live. I want to live, I want to heal, but I feel so crappy right now and can't pay my bills. I humbly ask for financial help so I can focus on my therapy and remission without having to worry about how to pay my bills. I promise I will get back up and well, and I will pay forward all that is given to me in this time of my need! I am forever grateful for everyone reading my story, considering to help me, and everyone who can and does help!
