Hi everyone,

My name is Yousef, I'm reaching out to you all for help in these turbulent times. I am raising funds for my partner Juno's recovery from brain surgery.

After being hospitalized due to seizure, Juno was diagnosed with a cavernoma on the right side of her brain. It is roughly 2x2x3 cm and sits about 3 cm deep. Due to the size and location, she will be receiving surgery soon. (At the time of writing this - April 23rd - doctors told us they are looking to schedule for Tuesday the 28th of April).

Juno is currently unable to work, and because of the intensity of the recovery, I will be her full-time caregiver for the duration of her recovery. This means I also cannot work during this time.

Why we need your help:

Frankly, we are currently struggling just to afford bus fare to and from the hospital. Our goal is to raise what we can to help Juno focus on healing without the crushing stress of potentially losing shelter or going hungry.

Juno is 25 years old, loves her 2 cats, and plans to pursue a career in cosmetology. Juno is charming, high-energy, and impactful. Some would say she is small, but fierce! If you've had the pleasure of knowing her, you understand just how contagiously joyful she is. She has been an inspiration through all of this with her positivity - she possesses an unbreakable spirit.

Setting a high goal feels uncomfortable for us, but we want to be realistic about what it will cost to survive while she recovers. Any amount - even the cost of a bus ticket - helps us more than you know.
